About the Artist

Ann is a native of Lancaster County, and more specifically, hails from a small college town called Millersville. Ann is representative of a lineage of very accomplished artists. Her Great, Great Uncle was Thomas Hart Benton (an American Regionalist Painter 1889-1975), who taught and mentored Jackson Pollock (an American Abstract Expressionist 1912-1956). To add to her credentials, Ann has been internationally published in the International Contemporary Artists, Volume XI, publication. Her own mother, Linda Benton McCloskey, is also an accomplished artist who has been internationally published several times, has won countless awards, and is an avid arts teacher.
